This is the place I work from. It can best be described as a creative hub and is located in an old army base. The building primarily houses companies who work with animation, games and new media. Some of the people at Arsenalet have even at this point been involved in major international co-productions, such as the Oscar nominated feature film Song of the Sea.
So why is this place so special? It might have something to do with the fact that Arsenalet has a healthy social presence with a lot of possibilities for networking and collaborations between people and companies. This comradery is helped along by the fact that many of the residents of Arsenalet have at some point studied at The Animation Workshop, an animation school right next door to us, which just happens to be one of the best schools in the world.
The building is facilitated by Arsenalet HQ, a team of capable individuals who work to make Arsenalet a successful creative growth environment. To make this happen, HQ offers a number of services, both for people outside and inside Arsenalet.
For the residents inside Arsenalet, HQ offers services such as business development, office space, assistance to marketing, incubation, knowledge sharing, social events and more. To people outside Arsenalet, HQ offers services such as matchmaking, guided tours, conferences, events, workshops and of course consultation. The creative industry can be chaotic and scary to navigate for outsiders, so every so often, people need a little help.
These are just some of the factors that all come together to create a work environment where ideas, passion and creativity can flourish. If you are curious to learn more, then you can visit their website right here.
Honestly, I could talk about this stuff forever, we have hardly even brushed the surface yet. Needless to say, we do have a fairly unique creative environment here in Viborg, with a huge international potential.
